GSI is currently looking to employ a Project Management Office Specialist for a major British company working in the construction industry. The primary role of the Project Management Office (PMO) Specialist will be to assist the Head of PMO in collecting and analysing data across design, procurement, production, and on-site project implementation, including providing portfolio project progress reports and information on shared resources and project interdependency. This will include application of practical management controls that support improved project/organizational performance.

The position will be based in our Prishtina office.

  1. Key responsibilities:
  • Provides the day-to-day level support to program and project teams within the specified discipline (design, procurement, production, and on-site installation)
  • Develop and maintain and update tracking schedules related to project deliveries in Design, Procurement, Production and On-Site Installation, including project progress and status report in accordance with project reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with design, procurement, production and on-site project management functions, and others as required, including third parties, to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project schedule, procurement delivery, production, and installation.
  • Controls and brings to resolution any potential problems within the specific discipline area and escalates issues to the appropriate project or program team members.
  • Assess and communicate schedule impact of change notifications
  • Monitor overall project progress status, achievement of major milestones, and analyse project performance in relation to planned performance.
  • Attend internal project progress and performance status meetings as required
  • Create and update tracking schedules for each project he/she monitors.
  1. Key requirements/Qualifications:
  • Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering, or relevant technical or business discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in construction industry, including project management, planning, and scheduling
  • Experience in coordination and communication with cross-functional teams in design, procurement, production, and on-site project management, including influencing and doing whatever it takes to move the project forward to meet deadlines, in a manner which builds trust and is consistency.
  • Proven success recognizing critical issues in the management of the construction projects with the ability to react quickly under pressure, and drive issues to closure by providing coordinated direction.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements to deliver projects on-time and on-budget.
  • Strong reporting, project management, analytical and prioritization skills; demonstrated change management success
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a desire and ability to understand complex vertical envelope solutions for building (aluminium curtain walling, window and multi material façades)
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English; working knowledge of another language is considered an asset.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Have the ability to multitask with the capability to meet targets and deadlines
  • Possess excellent organisational skills combined with the ability to interact with other departments at all levels
  • Pro-active, diligent, and positive attitude to completing tasks
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multi-cultural environment.
